This interesting publication contains many suprises by revealing the links between local people and great events like the sinking of the Bismark, evacuating the King of Norway and the bombing of Dumbreck. There are also memories of meeting people like David McCallum the actor, Harry Lauder the entertainer, Jock Stein the footballer and Will Starr the accordionist. The booklet makes fascinating reading whether or not you have ties to Kilsyth.

He has written several books including a substantial history of Kilsyth and a biography of local missionary and pioneer in Sierra Leone, West Africa, Matthew Sinclair.
